A full-time Fire Tech / Kitchen Hood Technician opportunity is available in the Shreveport-Bossier City, LA area with an established fire protection company serving commercial customers. This role is ideal for a dependable field technician with hands-on experience inspecting, servicing, and maintaining commercial kitchen hood suppression systems and related fire protection equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, test, and maintain commercial kitchen hood suppression systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on fire protection equipment.
- Identify system deficiencies, safety concerns, and code-related issues, then recommend corrective action.
- Complete accurate inspection reports, service records, and customer documentation.
- Work directly with commercial customers at various job sites in a professional manner.
- Follow NFPA standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable fire safety codes.
Compensation and Benefits
- $18 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and certifications.

- 3 to 5 years of related technician experience preferred.
- Previous experience with fire protection, fire suppression, or kitchen hood systems.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards and fire safety requirements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently in the field and manage service calls professionally.
- Strong communication, customer service, and safety-focused work habits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fire extinguisher inspection or service experience.
- Additional experience with fire sprinkler, standpipe, alarm, or suppression systems.
- Prior commercial service technician experience in restaurants, facilities, or similar field environments.
