Job Summary

A respected legal services firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Legal Assistant for a direct hire opportunity in Vero Beach, FL. This role supports a busy Family Law litigation practice group and is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working closely with attorneys, clients, and administrative teams in a fast-paced law firm environment.

The Family Law Legal Assistant will play an important role in keeping cases organized, deadlines on track, and client communication professional and responsive. Key Responsibilities

- Organize, maintain, open, and close physical and electronic legal files, including conflict checks and database updates.
- Prepare, type, proofread, and edit legal documents from dictation, handwritten notes, and attorney direction.
- Manage attorney calendars, contact lists, file listings, meetings, conference rooms, and other appointments.
- Support the client billing process by entering attorney time, editing bills, tracking billing deadlines, and delivering invoices to clients.
- Answer, direct, and manage telephone calls while relaying messages and maintaining professional client communication.
- Provide general administrative and legal support to attorneys and the Family Law litigation practice group.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $55,000 to $65,000 annually.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday.
- Location: On site in Vero Beach, FL 32960.
- Remote Flexibility: Remote work available up to 2 days per month.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- 3 or more years of Family Law litigation experience in a law firm environment is required.
- Strong understanding of Family Law litigation procedures, terminology, and legal support processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with strong follow-through.
- Professional demeanor with excellent client-service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented legal environment.
- Proactive approach to managing responsibilities and anticipating attorney needs.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with iManage is a plus.
