Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Facilities Technician for a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Niagara Falls, NY. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, takes pride in keeping facilities clean and safe, and is comfortable supporting maintenance, groundskeeping, cleaning, and general building operations.

The Facilities Technician will support the daily functions of the Facilities Department and report to the Supervisor of Facilities. This position offers a positive team environment, supportive leadership, steady work, and the opportunity to contribute directly to the safety, appearance, and overall operation of the facility. Candidates who are dependable, proactive, and willing to jump in where needed will be well positioned for success.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine preventive maintenance to help ensure building systems operate efficiently and the facility remains in excellent condition.
- Complete work orders in a timely, professional manner while supporting daily facility operations, opening and closing procedures, and general maintenance needs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and electrical or electronic testing devices to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
- Provide groundskeeping and exterior maintenance, including landscaping, parking lot cleanup, sidewalk maintenance, and snow and ice removal.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas, restrooms, trash and recycling areas, and other assigned spaces throughout the facility.
- Monitor maintenance and cleaning supply inventory and notify the Supervisor of Facilities when replenishment is needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-time.
- Pay: $18.00 to $23.00 per hour.
- Location: Niagara Falls, NY 14301.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform preventive maintenance, general repairs, and building upkeep.
- Support groundskeeping, landscaping, snow removal, and exterior property maintenance.
- Complete cleaning and sanitation duties in public areas, restrooms, parking lots, sidewalks, and facility spaces.
- Maintain tools, carts, lifts, safety equipment, waste disposal areas, and cleaning supplies.

- Valid Driver's License required to operate company vehicles.
- 1 to 2 years of related maintenance, facilities, groundskeeping, janitorial, or building services experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, maintenance practices, and workplace safety requirements.
- Ability to use common hand and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
- Comfortable using precision measuring instruments and electrical or electronic testing equipment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet, humid, and sunny environments.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Strong reliability, attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building services, groundskeeping, or commercial property maintenance.
- Familiarity with utility shut-offs, meters, monitoring devices, basic maintenance troubleshooting, and safe equipment operation.
- Experience completing work orders and supporting facility opening and closing procedures.
