We are seeking a detail-oriented Escrow Assistant for a direct hire opportunity in Placerville, CA. This role supports the escrow team with administrative, documentation, customer service, and closing-related functions in a professional real estate and property management environment.

The Escrow Assistant will work closely with escrow officers, lenders, agents, principals, title teams, and internal departments to help ensure escrow files are accurate, complete, compliant, and ready for successful closing. Key Responsibilities

- Provide administrative and customer service support related to opening, maintaining, and closing escrow files.
- Prepare, collect, review, and organize escrow documents in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
- Enter accurate transaction information into the escrow operating system and keep escrow files current.
- Order payoff demands, beneficiary statements, insurance documents, loan documents, lender funding requirements, and other required closing documents.
- Support escrow accounting functions, which may include receipts of funds, wire transfer requests, interest-bearing accounts, disbursement worksheets, and check distribution.
- Prepare recording packages, closing instructions, closing statements, and related documentation for completed escrow files.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $20.00 to $27.00 per hour.
- Job type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support escrow officers with file setup, document preparation, and closing coordination.
- Maintain escrow documentation and update escrow operating systems accurately.
- Coordinate closing requirements with principals, lenders, agents, title teams, and internal departments.
- Assist with escrow accounting, recording packages, closing statements, and disbursements.

- At least 1 year of escrow experience required.
- Working knowledge of escrow principles, practices, documentation, and closing procedures.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and reprioritize based on business needs.
- Excellent customer service, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain professional and accurate under pressure and during periods of heavy workload.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and prorations.
- Regular and predictable attendance in the branch is required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Notary commission or willingness to become a notary within 1 to 2 years.
- Experience supporting residential real estate escrow transactions.
- Familiarity with escrow operating systems and title or closing workflows.
