A growing commercial electrical contractor in Irvine, CA is seeking an ambitious Electrical Estimator to join its team on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with estimating, costing, electrical, or construction experience to build a long-term career in commercial construction.
The Electrical Estimator will support bid preparation, blueprint review, material takeoffs, supplier coordination, and project documentation. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys working with numbers, plans, details, and project teams in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Review blueprints, drawings, and project documents to complete accurate takeoffs and markups.
- Quantify materials, fixtures, equipment, power requirements, and related electrical scope items.
- Support bid preparation, pricing, costing, and proposal documentation for commercial projects.
- Track bid invitations, maintain an organized estimating pipeline, and manage deadline-driven bid activity.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to request, receive, compare, and organize quotes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate project updates with internal teams and external partners.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 to $90,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Review commercial electrical plans and perform detailed takeoffs using Bluebeam.
- Support estimating, costing, bid preparation, and supplier quote coordination.
- Maintain organized bid documentation, project updates, and estimating pipeline activity.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant estimating, costing, electrical, or construction experience.
- Bluebeam experience is required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.
- Electrical or construction background is required.
- High school diploma is required.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, documents, and communications in a fast-paced environment.
