AppleOne is pleased to partner with a company in Huntington Beach needing an Electrical Engineer. This is a direct hire role.
The Electrical Engineer will design, prototype, validate, and support multi-layer PCB assemblies and electrical systems for advanced industrial solutions, including precision optical inspection equipment and aerospace-grade processing hardware. This role bridges hardware design, signal integrity, and system integration.
Essential Job Functions:
-Design and support multi-layer PCB assemblies, optimized signal routing, and ruggedized interfaces for industrial hardware.
-Develop schematics and PCB layouts using controlled impedance routing and signal integrity best practices.
-Lead board bring-up, electrical validation, troubleshooting, and debugging of prototype and production hardware.
-Perform signal and power integrity analysis to ensure reliable system performance.
-Support test infrastructure, including fixture design, firmware flashing workflows, and production validation.
-Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, optical, and manufacturing teams to integrate electrical designs.
-Create and maintain electrical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, and test procedures.

Experience & Education Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Experience: 7–10 years of experience designing, laying out, and validating electrical systems.
Qualifications:
-Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium Designer or equivalent).
-Strong knowledge of signal integrity, controlled impedance routing, high-speed/low-noise PCB design, and power integrity.
-Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and hipot testing.
-Strong hardware debugging and problem-solving skills.
-Experience with DC-DC power conversion, power conditioning, embedded systems, firmware debugging, and scripting (Python preferred).
-Knowledge of EMC/safety compliance, grounding, shielding, filtering, and CE requirements.
-Experience with harness design, connectors, shielding, DFM, configuration management, and revision control.
-Familiarity with high-speed interfaces (MIPI CSI-2, DSI, USB3 Vision) and imaging/sensor integration.
