An Engineering Company in Vista, CA is hiring for an Electrical Assembly Technician!
Work Schedule: M-F 6:30am-3pm
Pay: $28-$35/hr DOE
The Electrical Assembly Technician will report to the Production Manager and will perform point-to-point wiring of electrical control panels and general machine wiring, working closely with engineering staff and mechanical assembly technicians. They may also assist with quality control inspections and help troubleshoot electrical issues. A successful candidate must be able to read, understand, and follow assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics. They should be versatile and able to work on multiple projects concurrently.
Primary duties:
•
Point-to-point wiring of electrical control panels
•
Machine wiring and cabling
•
Assembly of cables and wiring harnesses
•
Soldering electrical components and wires
•
Use instruments to verify function of electrical components
•
Use hand tools to install electronic parts and hardware
Qualifications:
•
Experience with basic electrical components (circuit breakers, fuses, contacts, relays, etc.)
•
Experience with electrical systems (installation, troubleshooting)
•
Experience with schematics (electrical blueprints).
•
Experience with reading mechanical drawings.
•
Experience with troubleshooting (e.g., diagnostics, problem solving, etc.).
•
Must be able to sufficiently read, write, and speak English.
Desirable Skills:
•
Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) best practices, preferred
•
Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
