Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations for a direct hire opportunity with a leading transportation and hospitality organization in Escondido, CA. This management-level role oversees daily transportation operations throughout Southern California and reports directly to the President.

The Director of Operations will play a key leadership role in strengthening operational performance, improving processes, supporting team development, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily transportation operations across fleet management, dispatch, staffing, safety, guest service, and overall business performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop field and office teams to ensure strong communication, accountability, and service consistency.
- Drive operational excellence by identifying process improvements, implementing scalable systems, and improving efficiency across departments.
- Monitor service quality, guest experience, safety standards, scheduling, and performance metrics to support company goals.
- Partner with executive leadership to support business growth, strengthen partnerships, and improve operational strategy.
- Ensure teams are properly staffed, trained, and equipped to deliver reliable transportation and hospitality services throughout Southern California.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $95,000 to $110,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: Escondido, CA.

- Proven operations leadership experience in transportation, hospitality, logistics, tourism, or a similar service-driven industry.
- Management-level experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong understanding of service delivery, scheduling, staffing, safety, dispatch, and customer experience.
- Ability to evaluate operations, identify gaps, and implement practical solutions that improve performance.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to support both field-based and office-based teams.
- Proactive, organized, and results-oriented approach with a focus on measurable business impact.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and building a positive team culture.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting transportation services across Southern California or a regional service area.
- Background in fleet operations, guest services, concierge services, tourism transportation, or hospitality operations.
- Experience building scalable operational systems during periods of company growth.
- Strong community, vendor, or business partnership development experience.
