Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Monterey Park, CA within the wholesale trade and import-export industry. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will play an important role in maintaining accurate company records, updating internal systems, and supporting administrative and customer service functions. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter alphanumeric data, customer information, and document records into company databases and internal systems.
- Review entered data, reports, and logs for accuracy, duplicate records, and missing information, making corrections as needed.
- Maintain, organize, file, and secure physical and digital documents according to company procedures.
- Assist administrative and customer service teams with general office support, including answering phones, sorting mail, and preparing basic reports.
- Handle customer records, company files, and proprietary information with strict confidentiality.
- Work efficiently in a repetitive, detail-focused role while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Qualifications & Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience: Previous experience in data entry, administrative support, or a fast-paced office environment is preferred (though entry-level options are frequently available).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace. High-speed typing capability with strong 10-key numeric keypad accuracy (minimum of 8,000 keystrokes) Comfortable navigating through multiple database software, cloud storage, and digital document imaging systems.
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong time-management skills, self-motivated, and able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently with high accuracy.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour.

- Strong typing speed and accuracy, including 10-key numeric keypad skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to complete repetitive tasks with consistent accuracy.
- Strong time-management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in wholesale trade, import-export, distribution, order processing, or a similar administrative operations environment.
- Experience working with customer records, order documents, invoices, shipping documents, or inventory-related data.
