Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative for a full-time contract/temporary opportunity in Lake Forest, CA. This role supports administration and customer service operations by assisting customers, processing payments, maintaining accurate account records, and completing data entry and office support tasks.

The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, accurate, and comfortable communicating with customers by phone, email, and in person.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide courteous and professional customer service by phone, email, and in person.
- Set up, update, transfer, and close utility service accounts for residential, commercial, and temporary customers.
- Process customer payments accurately and apply them to the correct customer accounts.
- Maintain customer account information, billing records, payment arrangements, and related documentation.
- Coordinate with field staff to help ensure service orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Perform data entry, filing, document management, and general administrative support duties.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $41,600 to $49,920 per year.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule: Full-time.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support customer account setup, updates, transfers, closures, and billing record maintenance.
- Process payments, update account information, and maintain accurate records.
- Provide front-line customer service and administrative support in a professional office setting.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of customer service or administrative experience required.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Accurate data entry, recordkeeping, and document management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Professional judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality of customer information.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and frequently use computers, phones, and standard office equipment.
- Ability to occasionally lift office materials up to 10 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Utility or municipal customer service experience.
- Experience using customer account or billing software.
- Bilingual Spanish.
- Valid driver’s license, if required for assignment needs.
