Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative for a direct hire opportunity in Cerritos, CA with a manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys coordinating orders, communicating with clients, and working closely with production, inventory, warehouse, and shipping teams to keep orders moving accurately and on time.
As a Manufacturing Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a key connection between customers and internal operations. You will use Sage 100 to manage order entry, verify inventory availability, track work-in-progress, provide lead times, and help ensure a smooth customer experience from quote through final shipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain sales orders, change orders, quotes, and customer information in Sage 100.
- Coordinate with production, supply chain, warehouse, and shipping teams to track order status, confirm inventory, and support on-time delivery.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries related to product details, pricing, delivery dates, order status, and shipment updates.
- Research and resolve customer concerns, order discrepancies, delivery issues, and production delays with urgency and professionalism.
- Prepare shipping documentation, coordinate freight details, and process invoices accurately within the ERP system.
- Monitor order lifecycles from quote to shipment while maintaining accurate records and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $45,000 to $50,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage customer order lifecycles from quote entry through final shipment.
- Use Sage 100 to process sales orders, verify inventory, and support accurate production and shipping coordination.
- Communicate order status, lead times, and issue updates to customers and internal teams.
- Partner with manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics teams to support timely and accurate delivery.
- 3 to 5 years of customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or B2B environment.
- Proficiency with Sage 100 ERP, including sales order and inventory management functions.
- Ability to review inventory availability, track work-in-progress, and provide accurate lead time information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional customer service approach.
- Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with production, supply chain, warehouse, shipping, and accounting teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Sage 100 Bill of Materials modules.
- Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange, EDI, systems.
- Experience with CRM software.
- Prior customer service experience supporting custom manufacturing, production orders, or made-to-order products.
