Job Summary
We are seeking dependable Customer Service / Loader candidates for a short-term elections support assignment in North Charleston, SC. This temporary role is a great fit for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, supporting an organized team, and contributing to an important public sector operation.
In this Customer Service / Loader position, you will help with loading election-related equipment and supplies, assisting clerks, and keeping materials moving efficiently during a busy election preparation period. The work environment is team-focused, structured, and mission-driven, with clear direction and an opportunity to support a meaningful community process.
Key Responsibilities
- Load election-related equipment, materials, and supplies into vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Assist clerks and staff with organizing, moving, and preparing supplies for transport.
- Follow instructions closely to ensure items are handled accurately and placed in the correct locations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized loading area throughout the shift.
- Provide helpful, professional support to team members during election preparation activities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $17.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: North Charleston, SC.
- Start Date: 8/6/2026.
- Schedule:
- 8/6/2026: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- 8/7/2026: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
- 8/8/2026: 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
- 8/10/2026: 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
- 1 hour lunch each day.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Load election-related supplies and equipment into vehicles.
- Assist clerks with moving and organizing materials.
- Support a temporary elections preparation assignment.
- Follow directions to ensure supplies are handled safely and accurately.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and remain on your feet during the shift.
- Less than 1 year of experience required.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality for all scheduled dates.
- Ability to work well with clerks, staff, and other team members.
- Professional attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to assist where needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous loading, warehouse, event setup, moving, or general labor experience.
- Prior experience assisting in a government, public sector, or elections-related environment.
- Customer service mindset and ability to communicate clearly with staff and team members.
