A growing organization in the materials transport, storage, distribution, and operations space is seeking a Customer Service & Accounting Assistant for a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity in San Clemente, CA. This role is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys variety, customer interaction, order administration, accounting support, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process customer sales orders by email and phone, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the ERP/CRM system.
- Communicate with customers regarding orders, inventory, billing questions, documentation, and account-related needs.
- Coordinate with operations, inventory, logistics, purchasing, and internal teams to support accurate and on-time order fulfillment.
- Assist with accounts payable, invoice processing, billing support, purchase orders, and general accounting administration.
- Support logistics, import/export paperwork, customs documentation, international freight records, and related compliance documentation.
- Maintain accurate records, track activity in Microsoft Excel, and assist with administrative projects for accounting and leadership teams.
Compensation and Benefits
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Location: San Clemente, CA.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Pay: $28 to $32 per hour.
- Process customer sales orders and maintain accurate order, billing, and account documentation.
- Support accounting activities including accounts payable, invoicing, billing, and purchase order processing.
- Coordinate with logistics, inventory, purchasing, and operations teams to help fulfill orders accurately and on time.
- Assist with import/export, customs, freight, and compliance-related paperwork as needed.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in customer service, accounting support, order administration, logistics, distribution, or administrative support.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using ERP, CRM, order entry, accounting, or business management systems.
- Strong customer service, communication, and follow-through skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and documentation skills.
- Ability to multitask, shift priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, growing business environment.
- Professional, reliable, team-oriented approach with a willingness to jump in where needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, materials handling, logistics, or a related operational environment.
- Experience with M3 or a similar ERP/CRM system.
- Background in accounts payable, billing, purchasing, inventory coordination, or order management.
- Exposure to import/export documentation, customs paperwork, international freight, or China-related freight documentation.
- Experience working closely with customers, vendors, accounting, logistics, and internal operations teams.
