Job Summary

The Customer Field Service Technician will support equipment maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and technical service needs across customer sites, workshop environments, and job locations. Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on heavy equipment and related rental service assets.
- Perform field service work at customer locations, job sites, workshops, and other assigned service environments.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, maintenance schedules, flow charts, and service documentation to complete repairs accurately.
- Operate heavy equipment, cranes, lifting devices, light trucks, diagnostic tools, and related service equipment in accordance with safety standards.
- Communicate clearly with customers, internal teams, and leadership regarding equipment status, service findings, repair needs, and follow-up actions.
- Travel extensively, including domestic and international assignments, while participating in overtime, weekend work, and on-call rotations as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy equipment.
- Support customer field service calls, job site repairs, and workshop service needs.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system issues using technical documentation and diagnostic tools.
- Operate equipment and service tools safely while following workplace safety standards and regulations.

- Minimum of 2 years of related hands-on experience and/or technical training in equipment maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, maintenance schedules, flow charts, and related documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Valid passport required.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively, up to 80%, including international travel.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform physical activities including standing, sitting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reading, hearing, and working in workshop, office, and job site environments.
- Physically and mentally capable of traveling independently and safely operating heavy equipment, cranes, lifting devices, automobiles, light trucks, computers, and diagnostic tools.
- Strong commitment to safety, customer service, professionalism, and accurate service documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate degree or technical certification in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems, or a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- 3 to 5 years of field service, heavy equipment maintenance, rental equipment repair, or related technical service experience.
- Experience supporting customers in field service environments.
- Experience working with cranes, lifting devices, heavy equipment, or rental service equipment.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with customers and internal teams.
