Job Summary
A Customer Care Specialist opportunity is available in Jacksonville, FL for a financial services call center environment. This temp-to-hire role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys helping people, resolving account questions, and working in a structured, high-volume support setting.
This position offers paid classroom training before going live on the phones, giving new team members the tools, systems knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed. Candidates who perform well will have the opportunity to convert to a full-time role after the contract period. Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound customer communications related to account inquiries, payments, billing updates, account changes, and issue resolution.
- Process account transactions accurately while maintaining compliance with company policies and call handling procedures.
- Explain financial and account-related information clearly, professionally, and accurately.
- Assist with account delinquency resolution and payment collection efforts when needed.
- Document customer interactions and maintain accurate account records across internal systems.
- Meet performance standards in a fast-paced, metrics-driven call center environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $17.50 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Contract-to-hire timeline: 6 months, with the goal of conversion for strong full-time candidates.
- Training schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for 4 weeks of classroom training.
- Regular schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Work arrangement: Fully onsite.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Provide professional phone-based customer support in a high-volume call center environment.
- Process payments, account updates, billing changes, and customer account transactions.
- Resolve customer concerns while documenting interactions accurately.
- Follow compliance requirements, company procedures, and service quality expectations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant customer service, call center, collections, or client support experience preferred.
- Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to multitask while navigating multiple systems and handling customer conversations.
- Proficiency with computers and basic software applications.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high-volume workload.
- Ability to work independently and contribute in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to meet background requirements, including no theft-related or fraud-related background findings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in financial services, account servicing, collections, billing support, or payment processing.
- Prior experience working in a metrics-driven call center environment.
- Experience explaining account-related or financial information to customers in a clear and professional manner.
