We are seeking a detail-oriented Contract Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Bossier City, LA. This administrative support role is ideal for a professional with insurance administration experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to review contracts, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors.
As a Contract Clerk, you will support important insurance administration functions related to group medical reinsurance contracts, policy audits, client data, licensing records, and vendor agreements. Key Responsibilities
- Review, interpret, and verify group medical reinsurance contracts for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
- Audit fully insured group health, STD, LTD, Life, and AD&D insurance policies to ensure information is accurate before distribution.
- Maintain client information, state licensing records, contract files, reports, and tracking spreadsheets in company systems.
- Coordinate Business Associate Agreements with vendors and track agreement status and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with internal departments and vendors, including PPO, PBM, Utilization Review, and other service providers.
- Scan, organize, update, and maintain electronic and paper files related to contracts, policies, renewals, and group administration.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $15.00 to $16.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: Bossier City, LA.
- Review and verify insurance contracts, policy documents, and related administrative records.
- Maintain accurate client, licensing, vendor, and contract documentation.
- Support policy audits, contract tracking, and agreement coordination.
- Communicate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve documentation needs.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant administrative, clerical, customer support, or insurance office experience.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, missing information, and inconsistencies.
- Ability to organize documents, maintain files, update spreadsheets, and follow structured processes.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Dependable, accurate, and able to manage multiple administrative tasks in a deadline-focused environment.
- Comfortable working with electronic records, scanned documents, reports, and office systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in insurance administration, group health insurance, employee benefits, reinsurance, or related insurance support.
- Familiarity with group medical, STD, LTD, Life, AD&D, vendor agreements, or policy audit processes.
- Experience coordinating documentation with vendors, internal departments, or service providers.
