We're seeking a hands-on Commercial Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems across a variety of commercial properties throughout Northern Colorado. Responsibilities:
This is a field-based role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and delivering reliable results. The ideal candidate has experience with irrigation systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial irrigation systems.
- Locate, excavate, and repair damaged pipes, valves, controllers, manifolds, and related components.
- Install new irrigation systems, including piping, valves, pumps, controllers, and electrical timers.
- Test and monitor irrigation systems to ensure proper operation and water efficiency.
- Program, manage, and adjust irrigation controllers based on seasonal and property needs.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Identify system improvements and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Read site plans and assist with irrigation layout and installation projects.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings to customers and management.
- Build positive relationships with property managers, facility teams, and clients.
- Assist with snow removal operations and other seasonal duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of irrigation installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair experience.
- Experience working with commercial irrigation systems preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused.
- Experience with irrigation controllers, timers, pumps, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of water management best practices.
- Landscape lighting experience is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Strong technology and mobile device proficiency.
Seasonal Schedule: This position is busiest during peak season from April through November, with full-time hours available throughout that period. During the winter months, efforts are made to keep team members working approximately 32 hours per week by supporting snow removal operations, winter property services, and other seasonal projects.
This is a temp to hire position, fully on site in Fort Collins and Northern Colorado projects, paying between $28-36 an hour.
