Job Summary

A growing and well-established electrical contractor in Melbourne, FL is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Estimator for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an estimator who enjoys complex commercial and industrial electrical construction projects and wants to play a key role in winning profitable work.

The Commercial Electrical Estimator will join a collaborative estimating team that values accuracy, communication, and strong project execution. This opportunity offers exposure to a diverse project portfolio, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, water and wastewater, aerospace, and government facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare complete and accurate estimates for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, addenda, and project requirements to determine scope and pricing needs.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates using estimating software.
- Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and vendor pricing to support competitive bids.
- Identify scope gaps, value engineering opportunities, clarifications, exclusions, and project risks.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, job walks, internal bid strategy meetings, and project turnover after award.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range of $95,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Performance-based bonus opportunity.
