Job Summary

A growing banking team is seeking a Commercial Banking Specialist to provide high-level support to commercial lenders and serve as a trusted relationship contact for commercial banking clients. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a banking professional who enjoys client service, commercial banking operations, and relationship management. The Commercial Banking Specialist will play a key role in delivering white-glove customer service, supporting loan and account activity, and helping commercial clients receive a smooth, responsive banking experience.

This is a strong fit for a Relationship Banker, Universal Banker, or branch banking professional who wants to move into a more client-focused commercial banking support role with meaningful, relationship-driven work.

Key Responsibilities

- Support commercial lenders with daily client service, loan support, account servicing, and operational banking needs.
- Serve as a primary relationship contact for commercial banking clients, delivering professional and responsive white-glove service.
- Assist with loan documentation, financial data collection, approvals, signatures, account maintenance, and compliance-related accuracy reviews.
- Handle wires, transfers, overdraft monitoring, past due reports, and general commercial banking support activities.
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, and internal departments to ensure a smooth and efficient banking experience.
- Identify appropriate opportunities to cross-sell banking products and services while maintaining a client-first approach.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $50,000 to $60,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support commercial lenders with loan-related activities, documentation, and client follow-up.
- Manage commercial banking client relationships and provide ongoing account service.
- Handle wires, transfers, overdraft monitoring, account maintenance, and commercial banking operations.
- Coordinate client requests and internal banking processes with accuracy, urgency, and professionalism.

- Previous banking experience is required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant banking, branch banking, relationship banking, or commercial banking support experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, lending processes, general security procedures, and compliance expectations.
- Experience in relationship banking, universal banking, commercial banking support, or branch banking is highly relevant.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional, client-focused, and service-driven approach.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-starter who can work independently in a low-micromanagement environment.
- Adaptable team player who enjoys helping customers, solving problems, and building long-term relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting commercial lenders or commercial banking clients.
- Background as a Relationship Banker, Universal Banker, Commercial Banking Assistant, or Branch Banker.
- Experience working in a larger bank environment with interest in transitioning to a more relationship-focused and less sales-pressure role.
- Familiarity with loan documentation review, account servicing, past due reporting, and commercial client support processes.
