Job Title: Paralegal – Bilingual (REMOTE only in California)
Position Summary
The Bilingual Paralegal manages an assigned caseload from intake through trial and resolution, working under the supervision of attorneys, partners, and managers. This role handles high-volume casework, strict deadlines, and frequent communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
Essential Duties
Manage a caseload of PI and Wrongful Death matters across multiple jurisdictions
Conduct client interviews, discuss fee agreements, and document case notes
Track and meet all statutory, court, and internal deadlines
Order, subpoena, and organize medical, billing, employment, and other records
Draft and review legal documents (letters, complaints, DOE amendments, 998 offers, CMC statements, etc.)
Perform e-filing and e-service
Coordinate and prepare for depositions, hearings, TSC, CMC, and trial-related events
Conduct file reviews to ensure trial readiness
Prepare witness lists, exhibit lists, disclosures, and trial materials
Maintain internal case management systems with accuracy
Communicate clearly with attorneys, clients, staff, and external parties
Handle sensitive conversations with clients, including those with serious health issues; arrange autopsies when required
Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate
Experience:
At least 1 year of office experience
Prior law firm experience strongly preferred
Skills:
Strong computer proficiency: WordPerfect, Word, Excel, Adobe, and related programs
Typing speed of 45 WPM
Excellent English reading, writing, and communication skills
Bilingual English/Spanish (required)
High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
Ability to multitask, manage heavy caseloads, and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
