Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Banker/Teller for a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA. This role may be aligned at the Client Service Representative II, Client Service Representative III, or Senior Client Service Representative level based on banking experience, new account expertise, business account knowledge, and leadership background.

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused banking professional who enjoys building client relationships, opening and servicing accounts, cross-selling financial products, and supporting daily branch operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong teller experience, accurate transaction processing, sound judgment, and a polished approach to client service. Key Responsibilities

- Open, maintain, and close consumer and business accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, Trust and Estate accounts, and other account types based on assigned level.
- Interview and profile clients to recommend appropriate banking products and services that support their financial needs.
- Process teller transactions accurately while maintaining strong balancing performance and compliance with branch procedures.
- Cross-sell banking products and services, identify referral opportunities, and support branch growth, profitability, and client retention goals.
- Respond to client inquiries in person and by phone while delivering courteous, professional, and solutions-focused service.
- Maintain compliance with bank policies, account documentation requirements, Bank Secrecy Act guidelines, information security standards, and applicable banking regulations.
- Experience opening consumer accounts is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of banking teller experience required for CSR II level.
- Minimum of 2 years of banking teller experience required for CSR III level.
- Minimum of 3 years of banking teller experience required for Senior CSR III level.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Open and support new consumer accounts and business accounts based on assigned CSR level.
- Process teller transactions, account documentation, and client service requests with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Cross-sell bank products, identify client needs, and refer clients to appropriate internal partners.
- Support daily branch operations, reporting, compliance procedures, and client retention efforts.



- Experience opening basic or complex business accounts is required for higher-level CSR roles.
- Strong customer relations skills with the ability to communicate clearly and work cooperatively with clients and employees.
- Working knowledge of basic banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security standards.
- Ability to handle confidential information with excellent judgment, professionalism, and accountability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking software systems.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate transaction processing skills, and the ability to maintain a positive balancing record.
- Professional, friendly, and solution-oriented approach to client service, including the ability to handle difficult client situations with tact and diplomacy.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior supervisory experience is preferred for the Senior Client Service Representative level.
- Experience with complex business accounts, Trust and Estate accounts, Treasury Services, remote deposit capture, armored service, or courier service is preferred for senior-level consideration.
- Experience supporting branch reporting, large transaction approvals, teller overrides, or backup supervisory duties is preferred.
- Beginner experience opening basic business accounts is preferred for CSR II candidates.
