We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Bank Teller for a direct hire opportunity in Hayward, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced banking professional with 3 to 5 years of teller, personal banking, retail banking, or consumer banking experience who enjoys helping customers, building relationships, and recommending financial solutions based on client needs.

The Bank Teller will support new and existing customers, open and maintain accounts, promote banking products and services, and resolve customer questions with professionalism and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Open new personal banking accounts accurately and maintain existing customer account records.
- Promote and cross-sell banking products and services based on customer needs and branch goals.
- Deliver professional, courteous customer service that meets or exceeds banking standards.
- Resolve customer questions, account concerns, and service issues in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform outbound calling to support sales opportunities, customer retention, and product usage.
- Maintain confidentiality, compliance, accuracy, and professionalism in all customer and account interactions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $25 to $27 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct hire.
- Schedule: Open availability, including weekends, is required.
- Open and maintain personal banking accounts while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support customer service, account maintenance, and branch banking transactions.
- Recommend appropriate banking products and services based on customer needs.
- Conduct outbound customer calls to support sales, retention, and relationship-building efforts.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in bank teller, personal banking, retail banking, consumer banking, or a closely related financial services role.
- Strong knowledge of branch banking operations, account opening, customer service, and basic banking products.
- Ability to cross-sell products and services in a professional, needs-based manner.
- Excellent communication, listening, and customer relationship skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and follow-through.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to handle customer questions and concerns calmly and effectively.
- Availability to work an open schedule, including weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a personal banker or hybrid teller and banker role.
- Familiarity with consumer banking products, account maintenance, and customer retention activities.
- Prior experience making outbound customer calls in a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong interest in growing within branch banking, customer service, or financial services sales.
