Job Summary
We are seeking a Bank Operations Specialist/Officer for a direct hire opportunity in La Mesa, CA. The Bank Operations Specialist/Officer will play a key role in daily branch performance by overseeing operational workflows, mentoring staff, supporting account services, and partnering with branch leadership on customer retention and business growth. Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily branch operations, including staff scheduling, transaction approvals, operational oversight, and regulatory compliance.
- Train, coach, and support branch team members to deliver accurate, professional, and customer-focused service.
- Oversee account services, including new account openings, teller functions, callbacks, dispute resolution, and operational follow-up.
- Ensure branch security procedures, operational reports, certifications, and required documentation are accurate and completed on time.
- Partner with the Branch Manager on business development, customer retention, promotional activities, and branch growth initiatives.
- Motivate and develop staff by setting expectations, supporting team goals, and recognizing high performance.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $74,000 to $107,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead daily branch operations and support consistent operational excellence.
- Oversee account services, teller functions, transaction approvals, and customer issue resolution.
- Train, coach, and supervise branch staff to support service quality and team performance.
- Partner with branch leadership on customer retention, compliance, and business development activities.
- Specialist Level: 5+ years of banking experience, including 2+ years in operations and supervision.
- Officer Level: 8+ years of banking experience, including 4+ years in operations and supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking software.
- Strong understanding of branch operations, account services, teller procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to mentor staff, manage priorities, resolve issues, and support a positive team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Notary Public preferred.
- Experience supporting branch growth, customer retention, and promotional banking activities.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or branch operations leadership role within banking or consumer lending.
