Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Bank Branch Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Calabasas, CA. This management-level role is ideal for a banking professional with a strong background in branch operations, sales leadership, customer service, compliance, and team development.

The Bank Branch Manager will oversee the daily administration and performance of a full-service branch, including operations, deposit growth, client retention, staff leadership, security, and regulatory compliance. This is an in-office role with strong visibility, community involvement, and the opportunity to lead a customer-focused branch team.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily branch operations, including customer service, staffing, sales performance, compliance, security, and operational quality control.
- Lead, coach, train, and develop branch employees through one-on-one meetings, performance management, career development, and ongoing feedback.
- Drive core deposit growth, customer retention, cross-selling, referrals, and new account development through effective sales strategies and local market outreach.
- Monitor branch performance, trends, expenses, audits, daily reports, overdrafts, exceptions, and operational metrics to ensure profitability and compliance.
- Resolve complex consumer and business account issues while modeling a customer-first service culture and coaching staff on service excellence.
- Build community relationships through professional, civic, and business organizations while supporting community reinvestment activities and volunteer participation.

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a branch banking environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of branch management experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing complex business and consumer accounts.

- Supervise, train, coach, schedule, and evaluate branch employees.
- Resolve complex business and consumer account servicing issues while maintaining a high-quality customer experience.


- Proven sales ability with documented branch growth and relationship-building success.
- Experience hiring, training, coaching, developing, and managing employee performance.
- Strong knowledge of branch operations, banking policies, customer service standards, and state and federal banking regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, team-building, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking systems.
- Active involvement in business-related local community organizations, such as a Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, or similar groups.
- Current California driver’s license and access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage for business-related travel.
- Ability to manage at least 2 branch employees and provide ongoing operational guidance and staff development.

Preferred Qualifications

- Notary Public certification preferred.
- Experience developing local business relationships and community banking partnerships preferred.
- Familiarity with CRA programs, community volunteer activities, and local market outreach preferred.
