Job Summary
We are recruiting an experienced Automation Technician for a direct hire opportunity with a manufacturing operation in Greenville, KY. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong electronics, automation, and troubleshooting experience who enjoys keeping production equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic, electrical, and automation systems in production areas.
- Support production uptime by quickly diagnosing equipment issues and completing effective repairs.
- Develop, maintain, and organize electrical and electronic schematics, prints, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Manage and execute preventative maintenance activities, ensuring scheduled work orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Schedule and support preoperational testing and equipment inspections before production start-up.
- Work closely with maintenance, operations, and production teams to improve equipment reliability and overall plant performance.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation, electrical, and electronic systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Execute preventative maintenance programs and complete scheduled work orders on time.
- Maintain electrical schematics, prints, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Support equipment inspections, testing, and production start-up readiness.
- Certification or vocational training in Electrician, Automectronics, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electronics and/or automation maintenance.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting ability with industrial equipment, automated systems, and production support needs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics, prints, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and commitment to equipment reliability.
- Ability to work well with maintenance, engineering, and production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting automation systems in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
- Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, controls, drives, and related industrial automation components.
- Experience improving preventative maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining technical documentation, work orders, and troubleshooting resources.
