We are seeking a detail-oriented Audio Annotation Clerk for a temporary, 100% on-site opportunity in Lake Mary, FL. This role supports an exciting AI-focused project by listening to audio recordings and accurately evaluating, labeling, and categorizing speech and sound data.

The Audio Annotation Clerk role offers a consistent weekday schedule, clear project guidelines, and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in AI data annotation and audio evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

- Listen to audio recordings and evaluate speech quality, clarity, tone, and sound characteristics.
- Identify changes in speakers, voice patterns, background sounds, and other audio events.
- Label, categorize, and annotate audio content according to detailed project guidelines.
- Review audio data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Follow quality standards while maintaining focus during repetitive and detail-driven tasks.
- Support the improvement of AI, machine learning, and speech recognition technologies through precise annotation work.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $18.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: 100% on-site in Lake Mary, FL 32746.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
- Assignment Length: Temporary through the end of July, with the possibility of extension.

- Maintain focus and productivity while performing repetitive, detail-oriented annotation tasks.

- 1-2 years of related work experience preferred.
- Exceptional listening skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to notice subtle changes in voice, tone, speech patterns, and sound quality.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software tools quickly.
- Comfortable following detailed instructions, processes, and quality standards.
- Patience and consistency when working with repetitive audio review tasks.
- Interest in podcasts, audiobooks, music production, transcription, AI, or other audio-based content.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with audio annotation, AI data labeling, or machine learning data review.
- Familiarity with audio editing or analysis software such as Audacity, ELAN, or Praat.
- Transcription experience.
- Background in podcasting, music, audio production, or sound editing.
- Quality assurance, data review, or other detail-oriented work experience.
- Experience using freelance AI training or data annotation platforms.
