Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney for a direct hire opportunity in Orlando, FL with a legal services team focused on litigation and liability defense. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney who enjoys managing complex matters, preparing cases for trial, working directly with clients, and contributing in a collaborative, professional law firm environment.
The Associate Attorney will handle litigation matters involving product liability, product defect, and general liability defense. This is a strong opportunity for an independent, detail-oriented attorney who is a confident writer, effective communicator, and proactive case manager. Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, analyze, and defend liability matters, including product liability and product defect litigation.
- Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and manage discovery-related responsibilities.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, reports, and other litigation documents.
- Argue hearings and assist in preparing cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
- Communicate directly with clients, including providing case updates, reports, strategy recommendations, and risk assessments.
- Work collaboratively with partners, shareholders, attorneys, and support staff to move cases forward efficiently and professionally.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage litigation matters involving liability defense, product liability, and product defect claims.
- Take and defend depositions, argue hearings, and prepare cases for trial.
- Draft high-quality legal documents, case reports, motions, discovery, and client communications.
- Investigate claims, develop litigation strategy, and interact directly with clients.
- 4 to 10+ years of litigation experience preferred for this role.
- Product liability experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong working knowledge of investigating and defending liability matters.
- Experience reporting to and interacting with clients.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team-oriented legal environment.
- Exceptional legal writing, research, analysis, organization, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, motivation, professionalism, and work ethic.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Willingness to report in-office Monday through Friday as the preferred schedule.
- Must be able to provide a cover letter, resume, comprehensive writing sample, and references in one document.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trial experience.
- Product liability or product defect litigation experience.
- Experience preparing complex cases for trial.
- Prior experience in a law firm or litigation defense environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and provide clear litigation reporting.
