- Review subcontractor pay applications and verify quantities against completed work in place.
- Maintain program reporting, photo documentation, and project file compliance.
- Coordinate permitting, utility releases, and inspection scheduling with internal project support staff.
- Conduct progress and quality walks on assigned homes, document deficiencies, and drive punch list completion.
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for homeowners during active construction while escalating scope changes, site conditions, and schedule risks to the Project Manager.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 to $90,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Hybrid work pattern with approximately half the week in the office and half the week in the field.
- Car allowance provided, with the amount negotiated during the hiring process.
- Support residential construction projects through scope development, estimating, change order documentation, and reporting.
- Verify field progress, work quality, subcontractor compliance, and punch list resolution.
- Coordinate with inspectors, permit resources, utilities, subcontractors, homeowners, and the Project Manager.
- Balance office responsibilities with active field oversight across assigned homes.
- 3 or more years of experience in residential construction management, restoration, or reconstruction.
- Ability to read plans and specifications and write clear, defensible scopes of work.
- Experience reviewing work in place, tracking quantities, and supporting pay application review.
- Strong documentation skills, including photo documentation, project files, reporting, and change order support.
- Valid driver license and reliable transportation.
- Comfortable working in active construction environments and traveling to residential job sites.
- Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal project teams.
- Asheville candidates must be prepared for mountain site access, including unpaved roads and driveways.
- High-clearance or four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended.
