We are seeking an Air Operations Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in the Grapevine/Dallas, TX area. This role supports daily air freight import and export operations, including shipment coordination, documentation, customer communication, carrier follow-up, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Process import and export air freight shipments from booking through final delivery.
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation, including air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs-related documents.
- Coordinate with airlines, ground handlers, trucking partners, overseas agents, and customers to track shipments and resolve routine issues.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding shipment status, delays, delivery updates, and exceptions.
- Enter and update shipment data accurately in the transportation management system and internal operating platforms.
- Support compliance with TSA, IATA, customs, and company recordkeeping requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Coordinate daily import and export air freight operations from booking through delivery.
- Prepare and review air freight documentation, including AWBs, invoices, packing lists, and customs entries.
- Track shipment movement with carriers, airlines, truckers, handlers, and overseas partners.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, system updates, and operational communication.
- High school diploma required.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in air freight forwarding, logistics, transportation operations, or a related role.
- Working knowledge of air freight documentation and IATA regulations.
- Familiarity with U.S. customs clearance processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Comfortable learning transportation management systems and logistics software.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and work effectively in a time-sensitive operations environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience handling Dangerous Goods Regulations requirements.
- Knowledge of TSA Known Shipper or IAC program requirements.
- Bilingual English and Mandarin skills are a plus.
