Job Summary
A well-established logistics and transportation company is seeking an Air Operations Clerk for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity in Grapevine, TX, in the Dallas area. This role is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented candidate who wants to build a long-term career in air freight, logistics, shipping, import/export administration, or transportation operations.
The Air Operations Clerk will support day-to-day air freight activity by maintaining shipment records, preparing documentation, assisting with tracking, and helping the operations team keep freight moving accurately and efficiently. This is a strong opportunity to join a stable industry, learn valuable air freight procedures, and work with a supportive team that provides hands-on training and room to grow.
Candidates with experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, or general office administration are encouraged to apply. Previous air freight or freight forwarding experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter, update, and maintain shipment information accurately in company systems.
- Prepare, scan, organize, and file shipping documents such as air waybills, packing lists, commercial invoices, customs paperwork, and carrier records.
- Assist with shipment tracking, status updates, and routine communication with internal operations team members.
- Support invoice matching and shipment file review to help ensure billing and documentation accuracy.
- Help coordinate pickup and delivery details with truckers and carriers under supervision.
- Perform general administrative support duties, including answering routine calls, responding to emails, copying documents, and organizing records.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $36,000 to $46,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Job Type: Full-time, direct hire.
- Schedule: Regular business hours.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support air freight operations by maintaining shipment records and documentation.
- Prepare and organize shipping, customs, and carrier paperwork.
- Assist with shipment tracking, carrier coordination, and invoice matching.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the operations team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, or general office administration.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to enter and review information accurately.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment with changing priorities.
- Reliable, organized, and willing to learn air freight terminology, procedures, and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or coursework in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with shipping, freight, customs, or transportation terminology.
- Experience using a TMS or WMS system.
- Bilingual English/Mandarin skills are a plus.
