A public sector organization in Valley Center, CA is seeking an Environmental Administrative Coordinator for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting environmental, water quality, outreach, and education programs. The Environmental Administrative Coordinator will work closely with internal teams, members, staff, and external stakeholders to help keep environmental initiatives organized, compliant, and moving forward. Key Responsibilities

- Provide administrative and project coordination support for environmental and water quality programs.
- Assist with the implementation, tracking, and management of outreach and education activities.
- Coordinate communication with members, staff, community partners, and stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.
- Research, organize, and analyze data and program information to support environmental initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, reports, and program materials in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Support the advancement of environmental program goals while upholding organizational standards, regulations, and professional conduct.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $21.50 to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Job Type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Full-time, in-person position. Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Coordinate administrative support for environmental and water quality projects.
- Support outreach and education activities for members, staff, and stakeholders.
- Research, analyze, and organize various types of data and program information.
- Maintain program documentation while following policies, regulations, and procedures.

- U.S. high school diploma, G.E.D., equivalent from a U.S. institution, or California High School Proficiency Examination certificate is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of general office, personnel administration, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong planning, organization, judgment, and strategy-making skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally and provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to conduct business in a professional and cordial manner that supports the integrity and reputation of the organization.
- Experience supporting administrative, clerical, project coordination, or public sector program activities is helpful.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting environmental programs, water quality projects, outreach campaigns, or public sector initiatives.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, members, staff, and community partners.
- Interest in environmental stewardship, sustainability, environmental justice, or community education programs.
