Job Summary

The Accounting Admin will support a busy accounting department by helping transition paper accounting records into a digital filing system, then continue providing ongoing administrative and accounting support once the project is complete. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accounting documents for scanning by removing staples, sorting files, and organizing records.
- Scan, digitize, label, and accurately file accounting documents into electronic systems.
- Shred documents according to company procedures and records management guidelines.
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for accounting records and related documentation.
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
- Assist with additional accounting, records, and office projects to support department workflow.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Prepare and organize accounting documents for scanning and digital filing.
- Support the transition of paper accounting records into an electronic filing system.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and organized documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience required.
- 2 to 4 years of accounting or accounting administrative experience preferred based on role needs.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain structured files and records.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with consistency and care.
- Reliable, dependable, and eager to learn.
- Suitable for someone early in their accounting career, not a senior-level accountant role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Prior experience supporting an accounting department.
