Cypress, CA : This person is the right hand person to the Warehouse / Logistics Manager - Forklift Certified is ideal, but will certify.
Maintain a clear and accurate inventory of all equipment. Maintain reasonable amount of product for company-based warehouses. Work closely with all departments to ensure timely response for both the shipment and receipt or return of product. Work with warehouse supervisor to assist product management team to acquire stock for sales fulfillment requirements. Assists in providing cost effective solutions for daily operations and logistics. Key areas of responsibility
When appropriate, performs the job function per the requirements of the Quality Management System, Quality Operating Procedures, and/or Work Instruction’s. Track movement of inbound and outbound inventory for company based warehouses
Maintain accurate inventory by conducting monthly inventory and random cycle counts for CA warehouse
Involvement with some negotiating with carriers and supply vendors to provide the best and most cost-effective solutions for daily operations. Provide scheduling of both product deliveries and product order fulfillment when shipping large orders
Verify accuracy of returned equipment and to document abnormal conditions, submit to accounting for proper credit procedures. Assist with maintaining records of product purchase, submitting and reconciling purchase orders, product return, product repair/repackaging. Perform various administrative functions such as creating international commercial invoices for exported product and filling claims for damaged equipment shipping from stock for CA warehouse based on sales forecast, as well as game plan cost effective solutions to meet customer requirements. Work with marketing to manage tradeshow equipment to and from show locations
Qualifications
Good organizational and time management skills
Computer skills are a must. The ability to set up functions, enter data and process information.
Ability to compile, code, categorize, calculate, audit, or verify information or data.
The ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
The ability to communicate information and ideas verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications to solve problems.
High school equivalent or better. Some college is desired but not required
*** Requirements ***must be able to work in a warehouse environment, able to stand for long periods of time, able to move and bend, and the ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
