Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Welder for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Ana, CA, supporting a manufacturing environment focused on sheet metal fabrication and precision welding. This full-time Welding Operator role is ideal for a skilled MIG and TIG welder who can read blueprints, work independently, maintain quality standards, and contribute to a fast-paced production team.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on a variety of sheet metal fabrication parts according to work orders, samples, drawings, and verbal or written instructions.
- Perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless-steel sheet metal fabrication parts as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts and complete welding procedures accurately.
- Monitor product quality throughout production to maintain workmanship standards and identify parts requiring inspection.
- Update job travelers and input required production or quality information accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while meeting production and quality requirements.

Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $24 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.
- Job Type: Direct hire, full-time hourly position.
- Location: Santa Ana, CA.
- 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
- 1st Shift Overtime: May be asked to start at 4:00 AM, stay later, and work Saturdays.
- 2nd Shift: Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
- 2nd Shift Overtime: Overtime and Saturdays may be required.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform MIG welding on sheet metal fabrication parts in a production manufacturing environment.
- Perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel parts as required.
- Read blueprints, drawings, work orders, samples, and instructions to complete accurate welds.
- Monitor weld quality, workmanship, and production requirements with limited supervision.

- Minimum 3 years of recent welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong recent relevant experience required, with the ability to hit the ground running and work independently.
- MIG welding experience required.
- TIG welding experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
- Understanding of production and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to define, evaluate, and discuss quality workmanship related to welding.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must meet ITAR requirements as a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed, push up to 25 to 40 lbs. as needed, carry up to 25 lbs. for short distances, and lift material up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, kneel, squat, and bend as needed.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to work early hours, late hours, weekends, overtime, and Saturdays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred.
- Recent experience welding sheet metal parts in a fast-paced fabrication or production environment is preferred.
