Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder for a direct hire opportunity in Whitestown, IN. This role is ideal for a dependable welding professional who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, understands fabrication standards, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Welder will fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components according to blueprints, work orders, and specifications. Key Responsibilities

- Perform MIG welding and assist with TIG, Stick, or Flux Core welding based on project needs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, welding symbols, and work orders.
- Fabricate, assemble, measure, cut, grind, and prepare metal components for production.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Operate welding equipment, hand tools, grinders, saws, and fabrication equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow OSHA and company safety procedures.

- Pay range: $25 to $35 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Fabricate and assemble metal parts and structures according to blueprints and specifications.
- Perform MIG welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Inspect welds and finished components to maintain quality and production standards.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet production goals.

- 2+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment, with 3-5 years preferred.
- MIG welding experience required.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, work orders, and welding symbols.
- Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.
- Ability to safely use welding equipment, hand tools, grinders, saws, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, sparks, and fumes.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.

Preferred Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- TIG, Stick, or Flux Core welding experience is a plus.
- Welding certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience completing production documentation or weld inspection records is helpful.
