Job Summary
A growing industrial construction and infrastructure operation in Tracy, CA is seeking a dependable Weighmaster / Scale House Attendant for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, solid computer skills, and experience supporting truck traffic, scale operations, logistics, recycling, aggregate, or construction-related environments.
The Weighmaster will play a key role in keeping daily yard operations accurate, organized, and efficient by weighing inbound and outbound loads, issuing tickets, maintaining records, and communicating with drivers and site teams. Key Responsibilities
- Operate the truck scale system to weigh inbound and outbound loads accurately.
- Issue weight tickets, verify load documentation, and record material types, quantities, and customer information.
- Maintain daily logs, reconcile scale tickets, and assist with billing documentation and data entry.
- Communicate professionally with drivers, dispatch, customers, and site supervisors to support smooth truck flow.
- Monitor scale house and yard activity to help maintain safe, efficient operations.
- Report discrepancies, equipment issues, safety concerns, or documentation errors promptly.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $20.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Start Date: 6/27.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Operate truck scale systems and process inbound and outbound truck weights.
- Maintain accurate scale tickets, logs, customer records, and load documentation.
- Support billing documentation, data entry, and daily reconciliation.
- Communicate with drivers, dispatch, and site supervisors to support safe and efficient yard operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred in logistics, trucking, construction, aggregate, recycling, or a similar industrial environment.
- Strong math, data entry, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and scale software.
- Ability to follow California Weights & Measures requirements and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, punctuality, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced industrial setting.
- Ability to work in an outdoor industrial environment and maintain a clean, organized scale house work area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Weighmaster, Scale House Attendant, Scale Operator, or related logistics support role.
- Experience working in construction materials, aggregate, recycling, trucking, or industrial yard operations.
- Familiarity with truck scale software, ticket reconciliation, and load documentation processes.
