CNC Machinist – Weekend Shift

Saturday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Sunday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Total: 32 hours per week
Shift Premium: 25% (equivalent to 40-hour pay)
About the Position
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our weekend shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who enjoys a focused schedule, competitive pay, and consistent hours.
In this role, you will program, set up, and operate multi-spindle bar-fed mill-turn CNC lathes to safely produce precision components within specification. You’ll work in a clean, climate-controlled facility equipped with modern CNC technology and collaborate with a team committed to quality and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes using M & G codes
Load, write, and edit programs for accurate part production
Perform machine setup and conduct dry runs in single-block mode to verify program integrity
Produce and document first article inspection parts per ISO standards
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools
Perform routine machine maintenance (oil, lubricants, coolant checks)
Report equipment issues promptly and maintain an organized workspace
Qualifications
Proficiency in M & G code programming and CNC machine setup
Strong understanding of machining processes and precision measurement tools
Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Solid math and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
