Job Summary

A growing precision manufacturing environment in Oxnard, CA is seeking an experienced Weekend Quality Inspector to support product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement on the weekend shift. This Temp-to-Hire opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented quality professional with hands-on inspection experience in manufacturing, metal finishing, machining, fabrication, aerospace, defense, or precision production.

The Weekend Quality Inspector will play a key role in ensuring parts and materials meet blueprint, engineering, and quality standards before moving through production or shipment. This position offers steady weekend hours, paid weekday training prior to starting the weekend schedule, and the opportunity to join a team-focused operation that values accuracy, accountability, safety, and strong communication across quality, production, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured parts, components, and materials.
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools to verify product conformance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria.
- Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials or products.
- Complete inspection reports, quality records, and required documentation accurately and on time.
- Partner with production and engineering teams to support quality standards, corrective actions, and process improvements.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $25 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
- Additional hours may be required as needed.
- Paid weekday training is required prior to starting the weekend shift.
- Work location: Onsite in Oxnard, CA.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform detailed quality inspections for incoming, in-process, and final production stages.
- Verify parts against blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Document inspection results, nonconforming products, and quality findings.
- Support production and engineering teams in maintaining quality and safety standards.

- 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, inspection gauges, and related measurement tools.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production setting.
- Must be able to work onsite in Oxnard, CA.
- Must be available for required weekday training.
- Must meet ITAR requirements.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Experience in metal finishing, machining, fabrication, aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards.
- Experience with NCR processes and corrective action documentation.
