This Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Lead Position Features:
• Direct Hire
• Manufacturing Environment
• Monday to Friday - 7am - 3:30pm plus Overtime
• Pay $19-21/hr
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Lead to oversee daily dock operations, ensure accurate receipt and shipment of materials, and support production and customer orders. This role serves as the primary backup to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor and helps coordinate staff and workflow to ensure timely, damage-free shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all incoming materials are received accurately following established procedures
* Inspect materials for quality and quantity accuracy
* Pack and ship customer orders to prevent damage during transit
* Coordinate shipping needs with Contracts, Production Control, Quality, and Production teams
* Contact freight carriers and arrange outbound transportation
* Load and unload shipments using forklifts and other power equipment
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping/receiving dock and office
* Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts
* Monitor and manage shipping and receiving supplies
* Assist team members with moving heavy materials manually or with equipment
* Serve as backup for the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor
* Support other departments as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years of inbound/outbound dock operations experience
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written in English)
* Proficient computer and data entry skills
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, and power tools
* Ability to work overtime, weekends, peak workload periods, holidays, and during inventory
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent walking, bending, stooping, and lifting
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
* Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment
