Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor for a direct hire opportunity in Buffalo, NY. This overnight leadership role supports a fast-paced food manufacturing and distribution environment, with responsibility for daily warehouse, cooler, inventory, load-out, safety, and employee performance operations.
This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on operations leader who enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and keeping production and shipping activity running smoothly. The Warehouse Supervisor will work closely with management and cross-functional teams in a stable, team-oriented environment that values safety, food quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily warehouse and cooler operations, including load-out, production support, inbound shipments, trailer inventories, sanitation schedules, and order accuracy.
- Supervise, coach, train, and develop warehouse and cooler employees while supporting performance management, onboarding, employee engagement, and timekeeping.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through FIFO practices, cycle counts, ERP adjustments, lot code tracking, WIP audits, vendor returns, and obsolete inventory management.
- Coordinate packaging materials, ingredients, fruit, corrugate, recyclable material pickups, inbound appointments, and external warehouse deliveries.
- Enforce company policies, safety standards, forklift procedures, food safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, quality, cost reduction, and reliable facility operations.
Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000 per year.
- Location: Buffalo, NY 14225.
- Schedule: 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Must have open shift availability and be available to work weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead overnight warehouse, cooler, load-out, and production support operations in a food manufacturing environment.
- Manage inventory accuracy, cycle counts, FIFO rotation, ERP adjustments, and product lot tracking.
- Supervise and develop warehouse employees while supporting training, performance feedback, safety compliance, and employee relations.
- Coordinate inbound shipments, outbound schedules, bills of lading, trailer inventories, and daily operational priorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant warehouse, cooler, production, distribution, or operations leadership experience.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop employees in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience evaluating employee performance and providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, accountability, and commitment to operational success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- Previous experience in dairy, food manufacturing, warehouse, cooler, or distribution environments.
- Experience supervising warehouse, cooler, production, inventory, or shipping operations.
- Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, forklift safety, and continuous improvement practices.
