Position: Warehouse Supervisor

Position Summary
Responsible for supervising and coordinating all warehouse operations related to the ordering, receiving, storage, and shipment of materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and logistics. The role ensures smooth workflow, compliance with safety and operational standards, and efficient use of resources to meet organizational goals.
Main Responsibilities
• Supervise, train, and assign tasks to warehouse personnel.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and adherence to procedures.
• Monitor employee performance and provide feedback and evaluations.
• Ensure full compliance with company safety and operational policies.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff through verbal and written instructions.
• Serve as a link between warehouse personnel and management, sharing updates on procedures and decisions.
• Supervise packaging, labeling, and shipment preparation for outgoing and incoming materials.
• Coordinate with other departments such as Production, Sales, Inventory Control, and Purchasing to align warehouse activities.
• Provide guidance to employees on handling, storing, and shipping materials.
• Analyze inventory records to identify issues such as overstock, slow-moving, or unusable items, and recommend corrective actions.
• Verify inventory accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Plan and lead periodic and special inventory counts.
• Recommend hiring, salary adjustments, and training needs for warehouse staff.
• Maintain records and negotiate rates with transportation and delivery services.
• Establish work schedules and improve workflow efficiency.
• Develop operational goals and implement new procedures to enhance productivity and resource utilization.
• Maintain proper documentation for property control, labeling, and location tracking.
• Determine proper handling of used or damaged property.
• Inspect warehouse facilities and equipment, creating work orders for repairs or replacements when necessary.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and handle logistics-related issues.
• Manage truck maintenance and coordinate independent carrier deliveries.
• Participate in annual inventory counts.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by management as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Logistics.
• 4–5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Forklift operation skills.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse layout, inventory planning, and storage methods.
• Understanding of material handling and distribution procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Bilingual (Spanish and English).
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills.
