Position Summary
The Shipper I is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping customer orders in a timely and accurate manner. This role ensures products are packed according to company standards, documented properly, and shipped using the appropriate carriers and shipping software. The Shipper I also supports general warehouse operations including receiving, cycle counting, and kit building.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on shipping role ideal for someone familiar with FedEx, DHL, and UPS shipping systems and who can consistently meet on-time shipping requirements.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Ship goods domestic and international, including consolidating shipments.
Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment following work instructions and specifications.
Finish packaging items (typically up to 5 lbs each) according to company standards.
Perform shipping functions accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Receive product using barcode scanners and shipping documentation procedures.
Perform visual inspections of products and packaging materials to ensure quality.
Provide tracking information to internal personnel and customers upon request.
Regularly use barcode guns/scanners and computer systems.
Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement programs.
Follow on-time shipping requirements and escalate issues that may impact schedule.
Communicate with supervisors and warehouse teams to support daily operations.
Perform additional logistics/warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or GED required
Experience
0–2 years of warehouse, logistics, or shipping experience
Familiarity with FedEx, DHL, and UPS shipping software strongly preferred
Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP/shipping systems
Experience/training in hazardous materials shipping (e.g., Lithium-Ion batteries) preferred
Ability to work with Microsoft Office and PDF files
Knowledge of U.S. export shipment regulations preferred
Experience packaging and shipping raw materials and finished goods using proper packaging techniques

Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
Frequently lift/carry 25 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
