We are seeking a reliable Warehouse Operator for a contract opportunity in the Gardner/New Century, KS area. This role is ideal for a hands-on warehouse professional with 1-2 years of experience who is comfortable supporting material movement, inventory control, order pulling, and inbound and outbound shipping operations.
As a Warehouse Operator, you will play an important role in keeping daily operations moving efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities
- Move, store, and organize materials throughout the warehouse using proper handling procedures.
- Operate forklifts and other storage or material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pull orders accurately according to work instructions, inventory records, and shipment requirements.
- Receive, verify, and process inbound and outbound shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with material tracking and storage organization.
- Follow warehouse safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and operational guidelines.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Rate: $17 to $19 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Contract Dates: September 21, 2026 through March 21, 2027.
- Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Hours: 40 regular hours per week.
- Lunch: 30 minutes.
- Workdays: May be scheduled Sunday through Saturday based on operational needs.
- Location: Gardner/New Century, KS area.
- Perform warehouse operations, including material movement, storage, and inventory support.
- Operate forklifts and warehouse storage equipment to move and store materials.
- Pull customer or production orders accurately and efficiently.
- Support receiving and shipping of inbound and outbound materials.
- 1-2 years of warehouse, material handling, equipment operation, or related experience.
- Experience using forklifts or similar warehouse equipment.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain an organized work area.
- Strong attention to detail for inventory, order pulling, and shipment accuracy.
- Ability to work a full-time warehouse schedule in an active, physical environment.
- Dependable attendance, teamwork, and clear communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, distribution, or operations environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse inventory processes, receiving procedures, and shipment documentation.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing daily priorities.
