Kitting Materials Supervisor 📌 Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2–5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory, materials, or kitting supervisor roles. 1–2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience. Manufacturing background required; aerospace, defense, electronics, or medical device preferred. Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP/WMS systems (SAP, M3, or similar). Strong knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, material flow, and traceability. Ability to read and interpret BOMs, work orders, and engineering drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and Excel. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma is a plus. 📝 About the Role
We are seeking a Kitting Supervisor to lead daily kitting, inventory control, and material fulfillment operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on leader will oversee kitting personnel, coordinate material staging and production priorities, and ensure production receives the correct materials, quantities, revisions, and documentation on time.
The Kitting Supervisor will collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to drive efficiency, improve material flow, and support overall production success.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations: Supervise kitting and material fulfillment activities.
Assign priorities: Manage workload based on production schedules.
Ensure accuracy: Oversee picking, verification, assembly, and staging of kits.
Develop teams: Train, coach, and develop kitting staff.
Maintain systems: Ensure accurate ERP/MRP/WMS transactions.
Drive improvements: Support Lean, 5S, and root cause analysis initiatives.
Monitor KPIs: Track inventory accuracy, kit completion, shortages, and on-time delivery.
Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with other departments to resolve material issues.
