Our client, a well-established manufacturing and distribution organization, is seeking a Warehouse Attendant to support daily warehouse and shipping operations. This role is responsible for receiving, staging, processing, and shipping products while maintaining inventory accuracy, safety standards, and warehouse organization. This is a full-time, on-site, open-ended temporary assignment paying $19 an hour. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, package, and prepare products for shipment.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound deliveries.
- Move materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts and other powered equipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Verify product quantities and maintain quality standards.
- Weigh products and materials as required for shipping and receiving.
- Accurately prepare orders for shipment following inventory rotation procedures.
- Maintain organized inventory storage areas.
- Assist with inventory tracking and recordkeeping.
- Ensure products and shipments are properly labeled and documented.
- Perform general warehouse housekeeping and sanitation duties.
- Complete required operational and shipping documentation accurately.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist with facility upkeep and other warehouse-related tasks as needed.
- Support overall team objectives and operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequent use of hands for operating equipment and handling materials.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 80 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- 1+ years of experience in a warehouse position
Equipment Experience: Experience operating warehouse equipment is preferred, including -
- Forklifts
- Pallet Jacks
- Loaders
- Other powered material-handling equipment
