Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Associate for a contract/temporary opportunity in Spring, TX. This is not a traditional warehouse role and does not involve forklift operation. The position functions more like a stockroom attendant in a professional, office-style customer site environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys inventory accuracy, customer-facing service, organized stockroom operations, and working with data in systems such as Outlook, Teams, and Excel. You will help maintain continuity of stockroom operations, support daily material flow, and ensure materials are received, stocked, counted, issued, and managed accurately.

The work environment is structured, professional, and team-focused, with opportunities to contribute directly to operational reliability and inventory control. Candidates who take pride in accuracy, customer service, and dependable support will be well positioned for success.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform daily cycle counts, reconcile physical inventory against system records, and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Receive, stock, issue, and reverse issue materials while following established stockroom procedures and internal controls.
- Process outgoing cleans, incoming receipts, return-to-stock transactions, crib requests, and general parts management activities.
- Support inventory accuracy goals by organizing locations, maintaining clean stockroom areas, and staging non-moving items as needed.
- Escalate high-value inventory variances to leadership for review and support monthly reporting requirements.
- Provide professional customer-facing support to ensure service levels are maintained during standard business hours.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $18 to $20.50 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Includes a half-hour unpaid lunch.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Spring, TX.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Execute scheduled cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Manage receiving, stocking, issuing, and return-to-stock transactions.
- Fulfill crib requests and support daily material availability.
- Maintain continuity of stockroom operations during planned or unplanned staffing gaps.

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in material handling, inventory management, stockroom support, or a similar role.
- Strong data entry skills with experience using Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Excel.
- Ability to work accurately with inventory records, part numbers, stock locations, and transaction documentation.
- Professional customer service skills with the ability to interact directly with customer site personnel.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, reliability, and follow-through.
- Professional appearance, communication style, and workplace conduct.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and support inventory control requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

- 3 to 5 years of experience in stockroom, inventory control, parts management, or warehouse support.
- Experience in retail parts, hardware, home improvement, automotive parts, or similar inventory-focused environments.
- Prior experience supporting cycle counts, SKU management, discrepancy research, and inventory reconciliation.
- Familiarity with structured stockroom controls, receiving processes, and materials management systems.
