The Vice President of Finance provides financial leadership and expertise to effectively manage the execution of financial strategies and objectives. This executive leadership position provides strategic and tactical oversight for the company's treasury, budgeting, audit, corporate tax, insurance, accounting, internal audit and controls, risk management, and cash management while ensuring ethical and accurate accounting processes. The VP of Finance is responsible for overseeing a team of financial professionals, which includes an Accounting Manager and an Accounting Clerk.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Responsible for delivering finance and operating strategy advice that yields a measurable impact on the Company’s bottom line.
• Responsible for successful financial and risk analysis and negotiation of expansions, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, major capital projects and divestitures.
• Responsible for all aspects of the Accounting and Payroll Department and results expected are a fully functional, fully integrated, freestanding accounting system operating smoothly and meeting the company's objectives including the preparation and delivery of accurate, timely financial statements, analysis, and management reports.
• Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and support to their team, ensuring that members have the necessary tools and resources to effectively fulfill their responsibilities.
• Responsible for anticipating growth and ensuring that internal systems and controls are in place and ready when the business unit requires them.
• Responsible for analysis, planning, and implementation of risk mitigation strategies and initiative
• Responsible for analysis and reporting of bottom-line financial results of all business units and recommending strategies for improvement.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance to all applicable federal and state legal requirements within the jurisdiction of the Vice President of Finance.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining successful relationships with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial and legal community. A key measurable result being UVDI having access to growth capital to meet current and future needs.
• Oversees financial management aspects of international activities to include developing financial policies and procedures and terms for international sales and accounts.
• Collaborate with HR to oversee all UVDI administrative policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations as well as congruence with corporate objectives.
• Ensures timely publication and distribution of accurate financial and administrative information.
• Ensures complete familiarity with all aspects of each business unit including detailed operating plans, forecasts, cost structures, and sensitivity (risk) analysis for major variables.
• Provides monthly summary analysis of business unit operations and issues, in writing, to the Executive Leadership team comparing “plan” and prior periods noting risk going forward.
• Demonstrate proven mentoring/coaching skills and active interest in fostering career guidance. Provide growth and development opportunities to support UVDI’s policies and strategic objectives

PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business or a related field. MBA CPA preferred.
• 10+ years manufacturing accounting experience with increasing responsibilities leading to a minimum of four years as Controller (or equivalent) in a $25 to $100 million manufacturing environment.
• Experience in an ISO-9001 environment preferred.
• Multinational manufacturing experience preferred.
• Excellent computer skills include ERP software, financial accounting software, Excel and the Microsoft suite.
• Demonstrated leadership skills embracing the principles of employee empowerment.
• Demonstrated experience working as a team player and achieving goals without direct supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
• Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
• Ability to make sound decisions.
