Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Finance & Controller will lead all financial functions, including accounting operations, financial planning & analysis, cash management, and strategic finance. This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting and controls while serving as a key advisor to executive leadership on growth, profitability, and capital allocation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Business Partnership
Serve as a key financial advisor to the CEO and President on growth strategy, profitability, and operational decisions
Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning
Develop and maintain robust financial models to support scenario planning, pricing, and investment decisions
Provide insights into key drivers: revenue growth, gross margin, inventory turns, and working capital efficiency
Accounting Leadership & Financial Integrity
Oversee all accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, payroll, revenue recognition), ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Lead and continuously improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
Ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements and adherence to all regulatory requirements
Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
Manage external auditors, tax advisors, and outsourced partners
Financial Reporting & Performance Analysis
Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting packages to executive leadership
Analyze performance against budget and KPIs, providing clear, actionable recommendations
Build dashboards and reporting tools to enhance visibility across the business
Support lender, investor, and board-level reporting requirements as applicable
Cash Flow, Capital & Operational Finance
Own cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital optimization
Oversee banking relationships and ensure compliance with any debt or credit facilities
Partner with operations, supply chain, and merchandising teams to optimize inventory investment and cost of goods sold
Evaluate capital allocation decisions, including investments in inventory, systems, and growth initiatives
Systems, Scalability & Process Improvement
Lead the development and optimization of ERP and financial systems to support scale
Ensure data integrity and streamline financial processes across the organization
Drive audit readiness and continuous improvement in controls and documentation
Build infrastructure that can support continued growth beyond $150M
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop a finance and accounting team (Controller-level reports, FP&A, and accounting staff)
Set clear expectations, performance metrics, and accountability standards
Create organizational structure that balances efficiency with scalability
Foster cross-functional collaboration and financial discipline across departments

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred
10–15+ years of progressive experience across accounting and finance leadership roles
Proven ability to lead accounting (Controller) and FP&A/strategic finance function
