We are seeking a VP, Core Systems Manager to oversee and optimize our Fiserv DNA core banking system, Q2 online and mobile banking platforms, and other core and peripheral banking systems.
Position Summary
The Core Systems Manager is responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing the Bank’s core and digital banking systems. This role ensures smooth daily operations, oversees system configurations, manages system upgrades, and partners with IT, vendors, auditors, and business units to streamline processes, strengthen security, and deliver reliable banking solutions. Strong leadership, project management, and technical expertise are critical for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage, configure, and optimize the Fiserv DNA core system and Q2 platforms to meet business and regulatory requirements.
• Lead system implementations from requirements gathering through design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Serve as liaison with vendors for support, system updates, and issue resolution.
• Translate business and technical requests into actionable project plans; maintain systematic documentation.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with user roles, change management, and regulatory standards.
• Write and deliver complex system reports for business units.
• Partner with auditors and examiners to provide system testing and validation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
• Oversee system upgrades, migrations, and third-party integrations, ensuring thorough testing and validation.
• Stay current with best practices by participating in vendor training, communities, and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a core banking systems analyst or manager.
• PMP or other project management certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of core banking operations, system integration, and industry security protocols.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and manage multiple projects effectively.
