VP, Bank Area Manager

Seeking a strategic and dynamic VP, Bank Area Manager to oversee and support multiple retail bank branches, including Alameda, San Rafael, Corte Madera, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Millbrae. This senior leadership role will drive sales performance, operational excellence, employee development, and community engagement across the region.

Responsibilities
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to Branch Managers.
• Oversee branch operations, compliance, and audit readiness to ensure adherence to bank policies and federal/state regulations.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales goals, grow deposits, and expand customer relationships.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to address operational challenges, streamline processes, and enhance efficiency.
• Support recruitment, training, and career development of branch staff.
• Engage in community relations activities to strengthen the bank’s presence and meet CRA requirements.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 8 years of progressive branch operations and/or sales management experience in banking or financial services.
• At least 5 years of management experience leading teams and driving performance.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations, products, sales leadership, and compliance regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and implement improvement strategies.
• Flexibility to travel between assigned branches.
